Invitation from the Convenors
We sincerely look forward to welcoming you to the 2010 APSAVD Congress to be held in Cairns, Australia.

Building on the success of the previous 6 Congresses, and drawing on the strengths of the Australian Atherosclerosis Society, we expect the Congress to attract clinicians and researchers working in the broad field of atherosclerosis and vascular disease from around the region.

Through a series of keynote lectures, interactive workshops and free communications, the issues of importance in combating cardiovascular disease will be explored. Special sessions on the associated areas such as diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, smoking, genetics, lifestyle issues, therapies (including complementary therapies) are being considered for the final program.

Young Investigators are especially encouraged to attend and present their work. The APSAVD is delighted to be collaborating with the IAS Asia Pacifc Regional Federation to provide travel bursaries for a number of Young Investigators. Click here for detaills.
